 INCIDENT:   PC 245 (a) (1) – Assault with a Deadly Weapon

LOCATION:   10700 Block of Lemon Avenue

SUSPECT:    Mia Caulfield, 27-years-old, Rancho Cucamonga

On Wednesday, June 19, 2019, deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to a call of a stabbing at an apartment complex on Lemon Ave.  Through investigation, deputies learned the victim went to visit his girlfriend and found her heavily intoxicated and arguing with her roommate.  The roommate left the apartment to allow the suspect, Mia Caulfield, time to cool off and sober up.  Shortly after, the roommate received a call from the victim stating he had just been stabbed by Caulfield and needed help.  Through further investigation, deputies learned the roommate’s brother was still in the apartment with Caulfield.  When deputies arrived, they found the victim bleeding profusely from the head.  As deputies approached the apartment’s open patio door, they saw Caulfield still holding the knife and the roommate’s brother sitting on the couch.  Deputies were able to evacuate the brother and take Caulfield into custody.  She is being held at the West Valley Detention Center and her bail is set at $50,000.
