LOCATION: 12000 block of North Mainstreet, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT: Danny Candelaria, 40-year-old resident of Riverside
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 4:04 p.m., Deputy Franquez found a parked vehicle with 2017 expired registration, but it displayed a 2018 tab. Two additional license plates, not issued to the vehicle, were found attached to the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, Franquez found a stolen and loaded 9mm Glock, concealed in the front passenger backrest area. A Ruger .357 revolver was also found concealed in the passenger backrest.
Deputies determined Daniel Candelaria was the registered owner of the vehicle and was a convicted felon. Deputy Manning found Candelaria walking near the area of the parked vehicle. Candelaria was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed stolen weapon in a vehicle, and two additional warrants. His bail is $125,000.
