VICTIM: 3-year-old female
SUSPECT: Otis Flemings, black male, age 30, a resident of Twentynine Palms

Summary

On Friday, November 3, 2017, the victim was removed from the custody of Otis Flemings by Children and Family Services (CFS). Once removed, CFS noticed numerous bruises on the victim and immediately took her to the emergency room. Upon further examination by a Forensic Pediatrician from Loma Linda University Medical Center, the victim was found to have a bruised buttocks, bruised ears, multiple scabbed lesions and scars, bilateral retinal hemorrhages, and a deep brain injury. A thorough investigation was conducted and submitted to the District Attorney’s Office. On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, the District Attorney filed ten charges against Flemings.

On Friday, March 30, 2018, Flemings was arrested. He was booked into Morongo Jail and bail was set for $450,000.
