INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale
LOCATION: 14600 block of La Paz Drive, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Gilbert Nollola, 44-year old Victorville resident
On February 2, 2019, deputies from the Victorville Police Department were requested to respond to a disturbance at a gas station in the 14600 block of La Paz Drive. Employees reported a man was at the location yelling at employees and customers.
Deputy Y. Cardenas responded to the location and contacted 44-year old Gilbert Nollola, a convicted felon known to have ties to a criminal street gang. Nollola was detained and found to have a loaded firearm in his pants pocket. During a search of his vehicle, over 16 grams of suspected heroin was found in the passenger compartment.
Nollola was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and possession of a controlled substance for sale. The case was forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for review and consideration of additional charges. He is scheduled to appear in Victorville Superior Court on February 5, 2019.
