INCIDENT: H&S 11378-Possession of Methamphetamine for Sales, PC 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Firearm and PC 30305(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Ammunition.

LOCATION: 6th Street/Mariposa Street, Yucaipa

SUSPECT: Eduardo Villegas, age 50 a resident of Yucaipa

On Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 7:03 p.m., Deputy A. Alcala from the Yucaipa Police Multiple Enforcement Team, initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for having an obstructed license plate. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Eduardo Villegas who had an expired California Driver’s License. During the investigation, Villegas was found to have over two ounces of methamphetamine inside his vehicle. A search was conducted at his residence, where deputies located additional methamphetamine, a digital scale, plastic baggies and drug paraphernalia. There was also a firearm and ammunition located at Villega’s residence. Villega’s is a convicted felon therefore he is not allowed to possess any firearms or ammunition. He was arrested for the above charges and was booked into Central Detention Center.
