INCIDENT: Grand Theft Auto

LOCATION: 2nd Street/ Ave E, Yucaipa

SUSPECT: Gary McClaskey, 56 years old, resident of Yucaipa

On November 21, 2018, the victim reported his 2015 26′ travel trailer was stolen from the parking lot of a business located in the 34000 block of Yucaipa Boulevard. During the initial investigation, deputies were able to identify a possible suspect vehicle using surveillance camera footage.

Sheriff’s Service Specialist Jenny Smith positively identified the suspect vehicle and developed information identifying the suspect as Gary McClasky, a local Yucaipa resident. The Multiple Enforcement Team from the Yucaipa Station located McClasky at a residence on 2nd Street where he was interviewed by detectives. Detectives determined McClasky left the trailer in Cabazon, where it was recovered by Riverside Sheriff’s Department.

McClasky was arrested for grand theft auto and booked into Central Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bail.
