INCIDENT: PC 459-Vehicle Burglary / H&S 11364-Possesion of Drug Paraphernalia / Warrant Arrest

LOCATION: 34848 Yucaipa Boulevard, Yucaipa – Kopper Kettle Kafe

SUSPECT(S): Unknown male – Burglary suspect

Marck Green, 39-years-old, resident of Yucaipa

 

SUMMARY:

On July 28, 2018 at 9:51 a.m. the victim parked her vehicle in the parking lot behind Kopper Kettle Kafe and while she was away from her vehicle, the passenger window was smashed out and items were stolen. Several citizens reported seeing a white male, wearing an orange shirt in the back alley near the victim’s car. The citizens located the male at a nearby business, and believing he was the vehicle burglary suspect, several citizens chased the subject to Yucaipa Boulevard and 2nd Street. Deputy Coillot quickly arrived at the location and detained the subject who was identified as Marck Green. Green was found to have an active warrant and placed under arrest. Deputy Coillot located a realistic .357 replica pellet gun in his backpack and found Green to be in possession of a methamphetamine pipe.

After Green was detained, deputies reviewed surveillance video and found that Green was seen near the victim’s vehicle at one point, but the video clearly showed he was not the person who committed the burglary. The video depicted a black vehicle pull up next to victim’s vehicle, a male wearing a white hat and black shirt exited the black vehicle and broke the window to the victim’s vehicle. This unknown male then left the location in an unknown direction. The burglary is still under investigation.

Green was arrested and booked for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the active warrant.
