INCIDENT: Criminal Threats

LOCATION: 7600 Sage Avenue, Yucca Valley

SUSPECT: 15-year-old male, resident of Yucca Valley

VICTIM(S): Confidential

SUMMARY: On Monday, October 29th, at approximately 1:00 pm, the School Resource Officer, assigned to the Town of Yucca Valley, received information from the administrative staff at Yucca Valley High School that a 15 year old male student had threatened to bring a gun to the school.

During the course of the investigation, the deputy determined that the threat was credible. A search warrant was served at the juvenile’s residence, which resulted in the recovery of a 12-gauge shotgun, two .22 caliber rifles, a .357 magnum handgun and approximately 2,000 rounds of ammunition.

The juvenile was arrested, and the case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
