INCIDENT:  Felon in Possession of a Firearm

 

LOCATION:   7700 block of Mariposa Trail, Yucca Valley

 

SUSPECT(S):  Christopher Harris, 40-year-old resident of Yucca Valley

 

 

SUMMARY: On Monday, January 28, 2019, at approximately 3:11 p.m., the Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team conducted a probation compliance check in the 7700 block of Mariposa Trail, in Yucca Valley. Deputies contacted Christopher Harris, who was in possession of a loaded .22 caliber pistol. Harris is a convicted felon and should not be in possession of any firearms or ammunition. Harris was arrested for PC 29800(a)(1); Felon in possession of a firearm.  Harris was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail where his bail is set at $50,000.

Problem Oriented Policing is a specialized position within the Town of Yucca Valley’s Police Department.
