INCIDENT: Possession of a Stolen Firearm

LOCATION: 56700 block of Free Gold Drive, Yucca Valley

SUSPECT: Brandon Doering, age 28 a resident of Yucca Valley

VICTIM: Confidential

On Thursday, October 26, 2018, at approximately 11:57 am, the Yucca Valley Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) and, Morongo Basin Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the 56700 block of Free Gold Drive, in Yucca Valley for a welfare check. Brandon Doering was contacted on the property and found to be in possession of a Ted Williams .22 caliber rifle.

The MET Team has been investigating a burglary that occurred on July 17, 2018, in the 57900 block of Hidden Gold Drive, in Yucca Valley. Twenty-three firearms were stolen from the residence. The victim listed a Ted Williams .22 caliber rifle as one of the firearms stolen during the burglary. The MET team contacted the victim who positively identified the rifle as one of the firearms stolen from his residence.

Doering was arrested for being in possession of a stolen firearm. Doering was booked into the Morongo Jail where he is being held on a $25,000.00 bail.
