WELFARE-TO-WORK<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

WHAT IS WELFARE-TO-WORK?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Welfare-to-Work program is the employment and training aspect of CalWORKs. Welfare-to-Work is a comprehensive statewide employment program designed to enable participants to achieve self-sufficiency through employment.  The intent of the Welfare-to-Work program is to provide employment and training services to virtually all adult CalWORKs recipients. The program also provides supportive services, such as transportation, to assist individuals in meeting work requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are an existing CalWORKs recipient, you may inquire about Welfare-to-Work by visiting one of our local offices<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Child Care can help families by reimbursing most or all child care expenses when the family meets the requirements of the program. Families may be responsible for paying a small portion of the Child Care expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT IS FOSTER CARE?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Foster Care program provides financial assistance for children who are in an out-of-home placement by either a Children and Family Services (CFS) or the Probation Department. The following are also under the umbrella of the Foster Care program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
