Laurie Rozko's Biography
After 13 years in the private sector including Fortune 500 sales and marketing experience, Laurie Rozko began her career in County administration with varying responsibilities for purchasing and contracts for multiple departments and locations. As a finance analyst, she focused on complex budgets and contracting activities. In 2007, Laurie became the County Purchasing Agent, including surplus property, printing, graphic design, and mail operations. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and the designations of Certified Purchasing Manager and Certified Public Procurement Official. Under Laurie’s direction, the Purchasing Department has earned the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement award each year, implemented an enterprise system for electronic procurement, and facilitated widespread cost savings related to numerous procurement initiatives. She has been active in the California Association of Public Procurement Officials, Global Business Travel Association, Institute for Supply Management, and National Institute for Governmental Purchasing. Married for 27 years, Laurie has two adult children and her hobbies include cooking, reading, and sports.

Jackie Ambrose's Biography
Jacqueline Ambrose has joined the San Bernardino County Purchasing Department after 8 years of public sector experience in Riverside County, which includes financial analysis and facilities management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Technical Management from Devry University. In her free time, Jackie enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Bill Brock's Biography
Bill Brock has nearly 15 years of service in County purchasing. Prior to that, he had a substantial career as a private sector purchasing manager. He has expertise with law enforcement equipment and services, with a special focus on vehicles. Bill has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology. He and his wife Kelly have been married since 1987 and have two children. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and their German Shepherds, Chloe and Lola.
Pam Buscemi's Biography
Pam Buscemi has served the citizens of San Bernardino County for 26 years, many of those with the Purchasing Department. She has served on the board of the California Association of Public Procurement Officials, including Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chair, and Chair. Pam is a dedicated buyer for the Fleet Management Department and is studying Inventory Management. She loves football, casinos, her son, and two dogs. Pam is also engaged to be married.
Michael Candelaria's Biography
For 23 years, Michael Candelaria has expanded his career, first in retail purchasing and then finding his passion in public service. He has worked with nearly every County department and is responsible for several countywide agreements including furniture and information technology equipment. He is a skillful trainer and a Certified Professional Public Buyer, and is assigned to the Sheriff’s Department where the budget comprises nearly three-fourths of the County’s discretionary spending. As an active member of California Association of Public Procurement Officers since 2001, Michael has served as an officer for Inland Empire Chapter for 4 years, as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-Chair and Chair.

Leo Gomez's Biography
Leo has been with the Purchasing Department for 18 years in various positions and holds the designation of Certified Professional Public Buyer. As supervising buyer he oversees a staff of 13 and is part of the management team. His analytical abilities and broad knowledge of all County departments positions him as a “go to” person for staff throughout the County. He is a purchasing subject matter expert on Board of Supervisors agenda items, and he is instrumental in defining electronic workflows to implement County policy. Leo is a member of the California Association of Public Procurement Officials and routinely makes presentations to the vendor community. He and his wife Mary married in 1990 and have three sons.

Brian Hashima's Biography
With over 20 years of purchasing and purchasing management experience in the private sector, Brian Hashima has extensive procurement knowledge in manufacturing, retail and financial services. He holds a bachelor’s degree and also attended Western State College of Law. With a work philosophy of treating his co-workers as his family, Brian is a welcomed addition to the Purchasing Department. Brian is married with two teenage daughters, and enjoys sports and reading in his spare time.
Esther Reyna's Biography
As a procurement professional for more than 20 years, Esther Reyna has extensive experience with complex medical/surgical commodities in both Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties. She developed the Just in Time (JIT) delivery system for the medical center, and is proficient with diverse public works and MRO contracts. Esther is also an active member of California Association of Public Procurement Officials and has been happily married for 22 years with three active children. She loves to travel, specifically taking RV road trips!
