Please join us at one of the two VIRTUAL presentations, which will provide a brief background of Laura’s Law, eligibility for referral, evaluation and petition process, brief overview of conservatorship, and the collaborative process with our community partners.
The development and implementation of Laura’s Law is in partnership with the San Bernardino County Superior Courts, Public Defender, Sheriff’s Department, County Counsel, and the Department of Aging and Adult Services. The Department of Behavioral Health values the elements of this partnership and collaboration, working with community stakeholders to effectively serve the behavioral health needs of county residents.
The implementation of Laura’s Law supports San Bernardino County’s mission to promote health, safety, and optimal well-being of the residents in the county and the support received from the Board of Supervisors to implement Laura’s Law will afford our county the opportunity to meet the needs of our most vulnerable residents.
