LEAP Course

The LEAP Course is a half-day facilitator-led training workshop designed to provide participants the critical research and skillset required to create a therapeutic alliance and build a collaborative4 relationship with persons who have severe mental illness, that lead to the acceptance of treatment and services. Training Goals:
- Identify anosognosia versus denial
- Reduce defensiveness, anger, and resistance
- Gain cooperation and compliance
- Re-establish trust and develop relationships
- Create an alliance with the mentally ill person and work towards common goals
