QPR Training (Generations Ahead)

September 10 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
A graphic promoting “Question, Persuade, Refer,” featuring large bold text on a purple background. Below the main heading, a label reads “Free Virtual & In-Person Suicide Prevention Training.” The San Bernardino County Behavioral Health logo appears at the bottom. On the right side, two circular photos show individuals participating in a classroom-style training session, including a presenter standing at the front of the room and attendees seated at tables with notebooks and drinks.

QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Training is an evidence‑based suicide prevention program that teaches community members how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and respond effectively. Participants learn three simple, life‑saving steps:
• how to ask someone if they are considering suicide
• how to offer hope through supportive communication
• how to connect them with appropriate help

This interactive training helps staff build confidence, develop practical intervention skills, and better understand local behavioral health resources. QPR is designed for anyone—no clinical background required—and empowers participants to play an active role in supporting the safety and well‑being of individuals in our community.

Limited space available.
Hosted by San Antonio Regional Hospital’s Generations Ahead Program.
