How to Provide Suicide‑Focused Care in K‑12 Schools: Practical and Actionable Tips

The Department of Behavioral Health is sharing information about a July 30th webinar hosted by The Suicide Care Connection powered by CAMS‑care. Experts Dr. Brausch and Dr. Michael will cover practical ways schools can strengthen mental health support, including:

  • Developing and sustaining tertiary interventions like the CAMS framework
  • Setting up informed consent procedures
  • Building mental health infrastructure in rural and under‑resourced schools
  • Training, supervision, and implementation considerations
  • Effective follow‑up, referral, and documentation practices
