The San Bernardino County Behavioral Health Commission (BHC) advises the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and Behavioral Health Director on aspects of local behavioral health programs and:

• Reviews the Annual County Behavioral Health Services Performance Contract.
• Evaluates community behavioral health needs, services and facilities.
• Approves procedures for citizen and professional involvement in the planning process.

Commission General Meeting

Behavioral Health Commission Meeting

On behalf of the Behavioral Health Commission Chair, Allie Mink, providing this message on an important change to the meeting session format for the monthly Behavioral Health Commission meetings. Effective immediately (May), there will no longer be an Executive Session from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Instead, all meetings will now be held exclusively as a General Session.

The General Sessions will take place on the first Thursday of each month from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The location for these meetings will remain at the Behavioral Health Services Auditorium located at 850 E. Foothill Blvd., Room F120, Rialto, with satellite locations available. Designated parking spots are available for commissioners in the front area of the Auditorium building.

Public Comment

Meetings are open to the public for comments during the designated timeframes on the agenda. A “Public Comment Request to Speak” form will be available for individuals attending in-person at CSBHS – 850 E. Foothill Blvd., Rialto, CA 92376. To address the Commission regarding an item on the agenda, or an item within its jurisdiction but not on the agenda, complete and submit a request to speak form to the Clerk of the Commission.  Requests must be submitted before the item is called for consideration.  Speakers may address the Commission for up to three (3) minutes total on items on the agenda and up to three (3) minutes on Public Comment, not to exceed six (6) minutes for the meeting, unless determined that a different limit is appropriate.

District Advisory Committee

The BHC is divided into five areas consistent with the five supervisory districts of the county. Each area has a sub-committee, known as a District Advisory Committee (DAC), which meets monthly to gather and provide the Department of Behavioral Health, through the BHC, feedback on the needs of their region. DAC meetings are held monthly and are open to the public. For more information on the DACs, email the Clerk of the Commission.
