PLEASE NOTE: THESE ARE TWO SEPERATE POST ACCREDITED COURSES, THEY ARE OFFERED AT SBCSD AOT THE SAME WEEK, FEB 23-25th FOR RADAR AND FEB 26th FOR LIDAR. IF YOU’D LIKE TO ENROLL FOR BOTH COURSES, PLEASE SPECIFY IN THE COURSE REGISTRATION FORM. RADAR:
Designed to train patrol officers in the operation of radar devices. Includes:
history, principles, theory, and laws relating to radar, set-up, calibration, and
courtroom testimony. This course satisfies the requirements of CA POST
Regulation 1081.
LIDAR:
This course is designed to train and certify law enforcement officers in the
proper and efficient use of LIDAR. The students will be provided with an
understanding of the laser as an enforcement tool, along with practical skills
and legal considerations.
