Today, the informant is one of the most effective crime-fighting
tools in state, local, and federal law enforcement. The use of
informants is necessary to law enforcement if the overall
objectives are to be met. Therefore, definite guidelines must be
established for the use and control of informants. This course
will provide you with the tools and knowledge needed to
develop, maintain, and document informants from the patrol
assignment to Gang and Major Narcotic Investigations.
