Department Policy Mandates

California State Law mandates certain sections of department policy be made available to the public. The policies are a composite of current procedures, rules, and regulations.
According legal mandate SB978, commencing on January 1, 2020, all local law enforcement agencies, are required to “conspicuously post on their Internet Web sites all current standards, polices, practices, operation procedures, and education and training materials that would otherwise be available to the public if a request was made pursuant the California Pubic Records Act (Chapter 3.5, commencing with Section 6250 of the Division 7 of Title 1 of the Government Code.”
